Construction is underway at Megasoft's new site in Kazakhstan.

Megasoft is constructing a 50,000 square meter hygiene-products plant in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. Scheduled to open in early 2027, the facility will support customers in Central Asia and neighboring markets with production closer to where products are sold.

The site will initially produce baby diapers and pants and will expand into feminine care and adult incontinence products a in 2027 and wet wipes in 2028.

“The Shymkent plant brings us closer to our customers and strengthens our foundation for growth,” says Jason Chen, CEO of Megasoft.

Kazakhstan was selected for its manufacturing and logistics base, as well as Shymkent’s location for serving domestic and regional markets. Kazakhstan’s GDP grew by 6.5% in 2025, according to preliminary national statistics, while manufacturing expanded by 6.4%.

Established in 1998, Megasoft now serves customers in 81 countries. The Shymkent plant will expand its manufacturing network from seven sites—five in China and two in the Philippines—to eight, establishing the company’s first production site in Central Asia.

With the steel structure now in place, construction will proceed to the building envelope before production-line installation and commissioning. Baby care production is planned to begin in early 2027.
